This 2 day SteynWaters Corporate off-site at the foot of the Black Mountains in Wales is filled with team challenges to improve communication and build motivation!
The conference includes a Leadership session with Military advisers from Sandhurst and Special Forces to focus on leadership issues such as decision making in adverse situations, planning and discipline in the workplace and effective communication to relay orders and achieve objectives.
The Black Mountains in Wales is an incredibly beautiful area and lends itself perfectly for team challenges. The activities are furthermore set out to built trust among all delegates.
The second day will start with an orienteering event on the Begwns, a walled nature reserve in the Black Mountains. Orienteering in a controlled area and with time constraints will certainly bring out competitiveness amongst teams in search of hidden points and markers. Teams will be evaluated for effective decision making, orienteering by map, coordination and goal setting.
After lunch delegates get divided into teams of 2-3 for a canoe trip. Led by professional canoe instructors, whom will set several Command tasks that need to be accomplished within a set time frame on the 5 miles downstream trip.
Result: Understanding risk management and control, teamwork and managing professionals.
